This little grasshopper was a very cooperative subject, he just sat there for a good 5 minutes while I took pictures of him. Stay tuned to the blog for more, or who knows it might pop up on another one of my sites!

A quick search on the Internet for "Bug That Looks Like A Leaf" helped me identify this as a form of Katydid. They look kinda like a grasshopper except their body looks just like a leaf! This little guy posed for me for quite some time...

If you can identify this bug please do so in the comments below. The pod that it is resting on is a Pink Butterfly Plant.

Update: I ran across this bug again and I found it to be a form of katydid, correct me if I am wrong...

About

Nothing happens when you sit at home. I always make it a point to carry a camera with me at all times…I just shoot at what interests me at that moment. – Elliott Erwitt"
“I treat the photograph as a work of great complexity in which you can find drama. Add to that a careful composition of landscapes, live photography, the right music and interviews with people, and it becomes a style.” – Ken Burns
